Dawn Release (暁遁, Gyōton) is a kekkei tōta composed of Fire Release, Lightning Release, and Wind Release. Dawn is the period of time when it's no longer dark, but the sun has yet to rise; in that manner, it is similar to twilight—more so that it is polar opposite.

With Dawn Release, the user is capable of manipulating dawn energy; which is light and darkness merged, or manipulate both light and darkness simultaneously. This is similar to an Aurora (赤気; 極光, Sekki; Kyokkō; Literally meaning "Red Atmosphere; Polar Light"). An aurora happens when solar wind is captured by the Earth's magnetic field, and then interacts with gases in the upper atmosphere. Aurora is the Roman goddess of the dawn, and also the word for dawn in Latin and Latin-derived languages. This particular substance can take the form of matter or energy depending on the user's desire.
