Deku (デク, Deku) is a young boy who was the result of genetic experimentation carried out by Orochimaru. Abandoned by his creator, Deku ultimately made his way to Konohagakure, where he allowed by the Hokage to register in the Ninja Academy and fulfill his dream of becoming a ninja and proving to Orochimaru that his life was worth living.
The result of a failed experiment to recreate the powers of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's dōjutsu kekkei mōra, the Rinne Sharingan. Meant to be a means for Orochimaru to reproduce and study the powers of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, not only did Deku show any of the powers that Orochimaru had hoped for but also showed an utter and complete inability to perform ninjutsu of any kind whatsoever. This lead to Orochimaru naming him his greatest failure and giving him the name Deku, meaning "one who can't achieve/do anything".

Deku is fair-skinned with bright, blue eyes and spiky, blond hair. Two long bangs of hair frame his face on both sides while a few locks of hair fall down the front to obscure the front of his forehead protector.
He is normally dressed in dark blue pants with a pair of strapped up sandals on his feat and a hip pouch on the back of his waist. Above he is normally seen sporting one of two combinations. The first consists of a sleeveless body mesh under a dark long sleeved shirt with a short sleeved blue hoody. The second consists of a full sleeved body mesh over which he wears a full sleeved white jacket with a pair of thin black stripes running down the sleeves.
