This technique allows the user to peer into a target's subconscious and interact with their memories. In particular, users of this technique can view the memories of their target and modify them as well. Tokino Hanamitsu has demonstrated that in order to utilize this technique a target must be both conscious and immobile. Therefore, it cannot be performed in combat due to the necessary amount of focus that it requires. Additionally, this technique appears to be stressful on the user if performed for long extents of time, as witnessed through Tokino's usage.

As the memories of any given individual are complex and interlocked, modification must be performed cautiously to prevent the target from undergoing an intense amount of mental strain. Failure to proceed with caution can easily result in the user being forced from the target's subconscious as well as psychological damage to the target. Tokino has commented that some memories are beyond her manipulation through the usage of this technique, and that some modifications may even reverse themselves given time. The latter is likely due to the fact that the perception and recollection of memories isn't static and is prone to alteration over time.
