On a rather crisp day, the sun was gleaming onto the ground, it's light was refracting from the transparency of the water that surrounded the figure. In a calm state she sat on the ground, eyes closed, she breathed, once in, once out. This figure who kept her calm was known as Kosenjō Yūyoku, one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, but still a figure of modesty and serenity. She was the head of the Hunter-nin and currently, had seemingly no mission to take upon.

A masked figure entered the room, clothed in the standard Hunter-nin gear, the figure had merely began to utter a few words," there is a new mission assigned for you Ma'am, by the Daimyō. It's details are here, please read over them and head out immediately, the daimyō says." Placing an envelope on the ground, the ninja left, leaving Kosenjō alone.

" A new mission? I must adequately prepare and head off." Kosenjō stood, and merely departed, with Sanzen Shodai Nagamichi in hand, as she prepared for this next mission, but before that, picking up the letter and reading it's contents. From then, she headed out, retrieving her mask and tools.

Itae's journey was full of dislikes.

Itae did not like long walks, and the walk from Sunagakure to the Land of Water was a long walk indeed. He did not like cold weather, to which he wasn't accustomed, and the numbing it caused. He did not like extra humidity, and how it made it difficult for him to inhale the dampened air. He did not like trees, or any vegetation that needlessly obscured his view of his surroundings. He did not like the water he was wading in, waist-deep. He did not like the local fauna; the fish that so gingerly nipped at his clothing, which he could scare away easily if he would risk an sudden movement, which he would not. He did not like mud, especially when he would undoubtedly be tracking it after he reached higher ground. He did not like being tracked, either, though if someone was doing so, they were doing an amazing job at remaining unnoticed.

But he had been giving a mission, and it was one that he would carry out dutifully.

And so, the lonesome ninja trudged silently forward, towards Kirigakure and his unfortunate target.

At this moment, Kosenjō had already begun departing. It seemed that a string of assassinations were found at Yosuga Pass, although it was unknown who the perpetrator was, many of the higher-ups began to secretly blame ninja of Iwagakure, after all, the Tragedy of Yosuga Pass was not something that could be forgotten easily. She moved swiftly and silently, nobody could sense her presence or even see her kimono flying through the wind. She reached the base of Yosuga Pass, her eyes intent on finding her target, she kept one hand on the hilt of her sword, just to be ready." Let's see what happens" She merely thought to herself.

As if on cue, from the side of the pass came her target. He was a middle-aged man, slightly pudgy and with a bad complexion. His facial was styled into a rather large goatee-mustache combo, which curled rather extravagantly at the ends. His incredible girth was most noticeable around his waist, where it bulged outwards, overcoming the belt that was strangling his waist by a large margin. His shirt didn't even seem to be able to cover all of it; a large, hairy belly button lay exposed, the hairs moving in accordance with the wind. He came out onto the pass, looked around, then froze.

If Kosenjō was paying attention, this would be the perfect time to strike, if not for one problem.

There were two of the target.

Completely opposite from the one first noticed, a second man was frozen, a similar expression of shock on his features. This one had already drawn a few shuriken from his folds, and launched it towards his doppleganger. The other him, identical in his movements and mannerisms, deflected them with his own shuriken, then rushed in for the attack. They seemed the same, in every aspect. As they landed blows upon eachother, it became ever more apparent that this was not a clone, nor a transformed Ninja. The look of shock and outrage on both Ninja's faces became more apparent with each passing second of the battle.

Kosenjō heard the noises of clashing, and reached to where the sound was coming from and was momentarily baffled. There were....two of her target? She knew that this had to be a trick of sorts, she had been in similar situations before, perhaps another assassin had been searching for the same target. However, who was her target, and who wasn't? That was the question she asked herself. Immediately she pulled out a multitude of senbon, covered in deadly poison she threw it at her targets, attempting to disable both with a single strike if possible. However, she did so silently and in the midst of much cover, as to not be noticed by the two fighters.

One of the targets dashed forward, and the senbon missed him. The second, however, preoccupied with clashing with the first, was hit, and, after a few moments of staggering, fell to the ground, unmoving. Now there was one. The senbon were not of his own device, he knew, which meant that there was a second assassin in the area. His breath ragged and wheezing, he looked in every which direction, his large stomach jiggling as he did so. One Kunai was drawn and held in a defensive position, with the intention of deflecting any senbon directed at him in the future.
